The Stirrings of My Soul

I was in love with words by the time that I turned five years old. I guess I always knew somehow that I was born to be a writer. I wrote my first poem at the age of 12 and it won first prize in our 6th grade classes poetry contest.I loved to read and would get in trouble as a kid for sneaking my parent's novels out of the book case and reading them. I never did understand why they got so upset my it.I have been writing now for about thirty-eight and a half years now. It is what I believe part of my soul's work is in this world Poetry has always been my first love although I have written non-fiction articles for which I was paid and am currently working on a prayer and meditation book I was hired to write.
