Here I am, Just sitting at home alone. I wonder why I'm not out for two. I watch all the people go by, In stores, in parks - side by side. Wave after wave of melody confuses me, Baritone blues and Jazzy tunes. Hand in hand lovers pass me by. A smile - a nod - a giggle - a secret sigh. I wondered about the cosy teas for two. The candle lit table, all laid out. The King's cooling off nearby, And the mood is set, For the rest of the night. In her arms a bouquet so sweet, And an array of hopes and dreams to complete. I glimpsed it all, as she turned away. So all powerful, it consumed her face. I wonder should I try again.... Should I make a start? Or should I be content...
