Words float across the page
like hieroglyphics to the untutored eye
From the core of one's being
a psyche emerges to touch another
Without fear or hesitation
to share the heart's emotions
Not too much, nor too little
compression without exaggeration
A pinch of salt, a dab of butter
one teaspoon of vinegar mixed with honey
The taste buds crave a tang
without the hint of bitters
My mouth waters at the look
of tasty words to savor.
