Words Come Hard At Night

Poetry

Words come hard at night, with only the eye of my soul as guide.

Coveting the darkness, I egotistically reach for the stars.

Realizing one's full potential is solitary work; a lonely profession when all else fails.

Outside a car door slams and I awake, once more from fitfull sleep.... My life before me an open book....

Who will stop to read it?
