    Literary-digest is an open, free list for public
    Devoted to the discussion of Literary issues,
    for authors, publishers, students, teachers, journalists and media people
    and of course readers, book lovers, people interested to learn writing craft etc.

    The list is available in the digest form E.I. whenever there are certain number
    of postings the list is issued.

    Life is not impossible but difficult for a literary person as the web
    does present some of the finest resources but how complex is the search part.
    Searching for a book and you end up with thousands of shop keepers, searching
    for an author and you end up with thousands of weird pages which have nothing to
    do with your query.

    Wisdom pretends to be an oasis in the information wastelands.
    Soon you will be find what you are seeking with much more ease.

    Officially the search engine is not yet launched as we are expecting
    the addition of literary web resources in next coming weeks.

    Library of Congress - the biggest library in the world.

    You can also look for current books, to know the prices of different
    sellers. This is offered by a 3rd party called Acses and the program
    provides 20 booksellers prices.
    One can search by a book title, author, ISBN.

    Thinkers.net is not in business of selling any books.
    This is just to give you an option as with one click you can
    search for a title and see the price etc.

    How to post to the digest?

    send all your postings to literary@thinkers.net

    - Just send one message and do not repeat the same message
    - If you are a subscriber it will be lined up and whenever
    there are sufficient postings the digest is issued.
    So kindly be patient.

    Write a good TITLE in Subject of your email.

    Write anything related to literature, writing, writing craft,
    authors, publishing, and written word and thought.

    You can also write queries, questions, answers, share information
    and knowledge, book reviews or anything related to global literature.


    NORMS, IDEAS AND OTHER SUGGESTIONS FOR POSTING:

    - Do not criticize someone for his language, origin, name, race
    - English is not the first language of majority of the world so be tolerant
    - Please try to understand what the person is trying to say not how he says
    - Well if you just want to correct him for small errors write him a personal email

    - Don't shoot to the whole list useless, irrelevant stuff please

    - Before you post, double check what you are writing.

    - A precise, concise, sharply written message has more chance of being read

    - Please for God's sake don't send the message with your digest copy in it
    E.I. please do not try to use REPLY button of your program when you see an article.

    - Write a fresh email and can quote the already posted article and write your opinion

    - Please do respect people and don't be too long. Most readers tend to disregard very very long messages

    - Please write suggestions, ideas direct to the list.

    - If you are subscribing to the LITERARY, you get your posted message quickly
    but if you subscribe to the DIGEST, please be patient, your posting is lined up
    and wait for some more articles before the digest is issued and sent to you and others.

    - If your first language is not English, do not worry. Write in any form of English you know.
    You may also write in Francais, Espanol, Deutsche or other language ONLY if you dont know a word
    of English but that will mean that your message may not be read so the best you can do is

    Literary-digest is the email version of our on-line discussion
    board. However their nature is different. The postings on the web
    are not sent in the literary-digest.

    From the first page you have an index of available topics.
    Click on a topic and you will see messages.
    Either you can reply a message, while browsing or
    you can post a new message.

    The messages when written in reply to an existing messages
    have option of sending your comments to the original writer.
    If you check yes - your comments will be emailed to the original
    poster.

    You may also select moods of your message by clicking an optional
    icon of a tiny graphic like a pen, a script, a bomb, a book, a folder or
    a little globe.
